I Feel Like I Have Been on Another Planet

My days have been consumed with work and by the end of the day all I can think of is sleep. I know many of you are getting busy preparing for the upcoming holidays and there just aren't enough hours in the day to get everything done.

I have had so many of my customers ask for fabric that can be used for upholstering chairs, ottomans and yes even pillows. We now are offering fabric by the yard and I just wanted you to see our latest design.
You know me, I absolutely love giveaways so here it is… Just by leaving a post telling us what your favorite holiday tradition is. You could be picked as the winner for for one of our burlap stockings. I know everyone loves to hear what traditions are special to you and your family. I will pick the winner on October 6th

Hopefully, my space ship will touch down soon and I can regain a normal life. I hope all of you have had a great week and by all means have a wonderful weekend.

I was missing you! What a beautiful giveaway! I really love the days and weeks leading up to Christmas. My favorite thing is Christmas Eve. I love Christmas Eve service, coming home and reading the Christmas story. Each of the children get to open two gifts (one is a new book and the other is pajamas).

Hello Michelle! Lovely giveaway! Your stockings are faboulous! In my family we use to open gifts in the Christmas Eve and on 25th we have a long lunch with relatives and then a dinner! They're two very long days... I'm usually very tired at the end! But Xmas is only once a year!

I know what you mean.....Wow! And, now it's the first of October already! We have a tradition in our family that my 10 year old loves to do when we go to Nana's. My Mom hides a small ornament on the tree and the kids have to find it. Who ever finds it first wins a special little gift. It keeps them busy! Mom's know best!

My favorite tradition for Christmas was always the baking of the goodies with my children. We would bake for days and then take the goodies around to our friends and the elderly in our small town. Of course we always had plenty left over to put an extra five pounds on me that would take me the rest of winter to get off.
Such a wonderful giveawy.
Hugs,
June

My favorite Christmas tradition is drinking champagne cocktails while opening gifts. We also 'dressed' for Christmas. Not formal wear, mind you, but not shorts and t-shirts, either. It somehow made it seem more special. The stockings are lovely. I've often thought of doing them in burlap, but never got around to it. That and the fact that burlap isn't really my design style. Still, I wouldn't mind having one of my own from your collection!

The stockings are perfect! Our family usually gets together prior to Christmas Eve to open presents for the kids and eat homemade goodies (anything from fudge and cookies to artichoke dip and baked ham). Christmas Day we see everyone again for a huge lunch my grandmother prepares. Now there are even more family get togethers with my husband's side of the family. I love Christmas though..it's my favorite holiday. Thanks for having this give-away!

What a gorgeous giveaway!

My favorite family tradition:
Our extended family goes to my mom and dad's house for Christmas festivities and before we do anything else we all gather in the living room while my father reads the Christmas story from the Bible. Then all the little children dress up as Mary, Joseph , Shepherds and angels and the adults sing Silent Night as the children file into the living room from the back bedroom. My mom has done this for more years than I can count. First it was my children being the little ones dressing up and now it is their children. My how the years fly by!!
Blessings~

Hello, we have missed you in blogland!
The stockings are gorgeous - I love the combination of the burlap and the lace.

Christmas is my favourite time of the year as it is my mothers so I guess that this is where I get it from. I am hoping that it snows again this year in SW France as it did last year.

This year we will not be sending christmas cards as we are going to be utilising the present aid idea (gifts that keep on giving) and will be giving ducks as part of the Friends in Village Development Bangladesh intiative who have been helping people recover from devastating floods by giving them ducks– you can sell them, eat their eggs and barter them at market.

And if in France, make foie gras!

Life is so so busy we need to slow down and enjoy it more. Around Christmas time, the evenings are a nice time for doing that with your family.

Our family tradition starts right after Thanksgiving. We pull out all the holiday things and start decorating room to room... the guys hang the lights and we light candles to fill the house with warm scents.

We usually visit our parents on Christmas day too!

Smiles, Christine
